Ms. Chartier grew up in eastern Massachusetts in a town called Franklin, that boasts being home of the nation's first public library. After earning a bachelors at Bryant University (then Bryant College) she worked in the fields of finance, human resources and legal where she realized that she yearned to work with beautiful gemstones and decided to strive to make her childhood dream a reality - of becoming a jeweler. In 2001 she attended the acclaimed North Bennet Street School in Boston's North End studying Jewelry Making and Repair full time and graduated in 2003. She obtained her Graduate Gemologist credentials through GIA in 2004. She gained valuable experience by working at a local jewelry store and now, she now focuses her efforts on her Quiet Corner shop in Connecticut's northeast quiet corner where she resides with her spouse of 35 years and their 5 cats.
